Zaka Ashraf, the Chairman of the PCB Management Committee and a member of the Board of Governors (BoG), has tendered his resignation from his prominent positions. His decision to step down was communicated to the caretaker Prime Minister, Anwaarul Haq Kakar, who is currently deliberating on the matter.
In his resignation, Zaka Ashraf cited his commitment to the advancement of cricket; however, due to challenges in fostering effective teamwork, he deemed it fit to resign from his responsibilities. The caretaker Prime Minister will play a crucial role in nominating a suitable replacement for the vacated positions.
Zaka Ashraf assumed the role of the head of the Management Committee on July 6, 2023, succeeding Najam Sethi. The forthcoming appointment of a new Chairman will be a pivotal decision, shaping the future trajectory of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s leadership.
