Vote for Your Future! Tomorrow, Over 128 Million People will Elect the New Government of Pakistan

Tomorrow marks a significant day for Pakistan as it prepares for its largest-ever election, with a staggering 128 million people expected to participate across the country.

The polling will commence from 8 am and continue until 5 pm, allowing voters in 855 national and four provincial assembly constituencies to cast their ballots. This election boasts an unprecedented number of candidates, with a total of 17,816 individuals vying for seats, including 882 women and four eunuchs.

To ensure a smooth and secure voting process, a massive network of 90,675 polling stations has been set up nationwide. Among these, 27,628 are categorized as sensitive, while 18,437 are deemed highly sensitive. Over 500,000 personnel from various security forces, starting from the police and escalating to paramilitary forces and the Pakistan Army’s Quick Response Force, have been deployed to maintain peace and order.

In a bid to enhance transparency and efficiency, the Election Commission has introduced the Election Management System (EMS) for result compilation. This system involves capturing photographs of Form 45, which contain polling station results, and sending them electronically to the Presiding Officer. Subsequently, Constituency Form 47 will be prepared based on the data from Form 45 in the Returning Officers’ offices.

On the day of voting, voters are reminded to bring their original identity cards and utilize a green ballot paper for the National Assembly and a white one for the Provincial Assembly, ensuring their voices are heard in shaping the nation’s future.
