British Council Offering Fully Funded Stem Scholarship for Students

The underrepresentation of women in STEM fields is a global issue, with less than 30% of researchers being women and low enrollment rates in STEM-related higher education fields. Eligibility Criteria

  • Course of Study: Applicants must be able to pursue a course of study in the UK for the academic year from September/October 2024–2025.
  • Financial Need: Demonstrated need for financial support is required.
  • Undergraduate Degree: Applicants must have an undergraduate degree enabling access to pre-selected postgraduate courses at a UK university.
  • English Proficiency: Ability to attain the required level of English for postgraduate study.
  • Work Experience/Interest: Applicants should be active in the field with work experience or a proven interest in their subject area.
  • Passion and Engagement: Passion for the chosen course of study and willingness to engage as committed British Council scholarship alumni.

Ineligibility Criteria

  • Dual British Citizenship: Applicants holding dual British citizenship are not eligible.
  • Government Affiliation: Individuals affiliated with His Majesty’s Government or the British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM are not eligible.
  • Financial Support: Those currently receiving financial support for their UK study program from any other source are ineligible.
  • Previous UK Study: Applicants who have previously studied in the UK with funding from a UK government-funded scholarship or a UK institutional scholarship/financial bursary are not eligible.
