Pakistan Beat South Korea 4-0 to Register Second Win in Azlan Shah Cup

On Sunday, Pakistan claimed a commanding 4-0 triumph over Korea in their second Sultan Azlan Shah Cup match in Ipoh, Perak. The game began with a bang for Pakistan, as Hannan Shahid swiftly scored the opening goal just three minutes into the match with a strong field goal, setting the tempo for the game.

Pakistan’s dominance continued as Arshad Liaqat added another field goal to the tally in the 20th minute, further solidifying their lead. Ghazanfar Ali then extended Pakistan’s advantage to 3-0 with yet another field goal in the 27th minute, leaving the Korean defense struggling to keep pace.

Throughout the third quarter, Pakistan’s sturdy defense prevented Korea from narrowing the deficit, maintaining their firm grip on the match. In the final quarter, Pakistan secured their victory with a precise performance, as Sufyan Khan converted a penalty corner into a goal in the 50th minute, ensuring Korea had no chance of staging a comeback.

Prior to this match, Pakistan had clinched a thrilling victory over Malaysia with a last-minute winner by Abu Mahmood in a nail-biting nine-goal encounter, concluding with a 5-4 scoreline after an intense 60 minutes of play. Pakistan’s next challenge will be against Japan on May 7 at the same venue.
