Malala Yousafzai, who became the youngest Nobel Prize winner and helped start the Malala Fund, has introduced a new scholarship opportunity at Oxford University. This initiative is a part of Oxford’s Refugee Academic Futures Programme and focuses on helping Palestinian students who face financial challenges.
The announcement was made during a fundraiser for the Oxford Pakistan Programme. This scholarship aims to support Palestinian students who have experienced interruptions in their education due to the difficult situation in Gaza.
The first student to benefit from this scholarship will begin their studies at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, starting in October 2024. This effort by Malala and Oxford University seeks to provide educational opportunities to Palestinian students who might not otherwise have access to them.
