Government Proposed Minimum Rs 37,000 Salary in 2024-2025 Budget

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s government has announced an increase in the minimum basic salary from Rs. 32,000 to Rs. 37,000 in the 2024-25 Federal Budget. This significant raise aims to improve the financial stability of government employees across Pakistan.

Additionally, the federal cabinet, under PM Sharif’s leadership, has approved substantial salary hikes for various employee grades. Employees in grades 1 to 16 will receive a 25% increase in their salaries, while officers in grades 17 to 22 will see a 22% raise. Retired government employees will benefit from a 15% increase in their pensions.

These financial measures are part of the government’s efforts to provide better economic security and improve the standard of living for government workers and retirees in the upcoming fiscal year. By increasing salaries and pensions, the government hopes to alleviate financial pressures and ensure a more stable and secure financial future for its employees.
