Saudi Airlines Flight Catches Fire While Landing at Pakistan’s Peshawar Airport

A fire broke out aboard a Saudi Air flight SV-792 traveling from Riyadh when it landed at Peshawar airport on Thursday. The fire affected the landing gear of the aircraft. As soon as the fire was noticed, emergency procedures were put into action. Thankfully, all 276 passengers and 21 crew members were evacuated safely.

Firefighters acted swiftly to put out the flames, and fortunately, there were no injuries or casualties reported among the passengers or crew.

Authorities are now investigating to determine the exact cause of the fire.

Due to the incident, Peshawar airport has been closed for 24 hours. During this time, flights are being redirected to other airports until the affected aircraft is removed and normal operations can resume.
