The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has imposed a combined fine of Rs. 1.62 million on eight domestic and international airlines over poor passenger services and delays in baggage delivery.
According to authorities, the action was taken after 19 cases of delayed baggage were reported between July 1 and August 15, 2026.
The incidents prompted the aviation authority to take regulatory action and remind airlines of their responsibility to maintain proper service standards for passengers.
PAA has directed the airlines concerned to ensure baggage is delivered to passengers within the required timeframe and to take steps to improve overall service quality.
The authority also said airports across Pakistan will continue to be monitored for compliance with aviation regulations and passenger service requirements.
Further action may be taken against airlines that fail to meet the prescribed standards.
The move highlights increased regulatory attention toward passenger services and baggage handling at Pakistani airports.
