Nazar ul Islam, an 82-year-old academic from the conservative northwest of Pakistan, has made a remarkable impact by educating all 13 of his daughters to the master’s degree level.Despite facing strong opposition, including threats from his extended family, Islam remained committed to education.
His journey began in the 1970s when he made the groundbreaking decision to send his first daughter, Nighat Parveen, to school.Today, all of his 13 daughters and four sons have earned master’s degrees in various fields like English Literature, Political Science, and Botany.
