The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced ticket prices for the upcoming two-match Test series between Pakistan and the West Indies. The matches will be held at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from December 7 to December 25, marking an exciting moment for cricket fans in the country.
The PCB confirmed that tickets will be available for purchase starting Friday. Fans can buy them online through pcb.tcs.com.pk or visit designated TCS outlets in Multan to purchase physical tickets.
To encourage more spectators to attend the games, the PCB has made entry to the First Class enclosures – Wasim Akram and Elahi Brothers – and the General enclosures – Hanif Muhammad and Mushtaq Ahmed – completely free for both Test matches. This initiative is aimed at ensuring maximum participation and excitement for cricket enthusiasts.
For those wanting premium seating, the Premier enclosures will have tickets priced at just PKR 100 for both matches. The VIP enclosures, including the Fazal Mahmood and Imran Khan stands, will have tickets available for PKR 150. Meanwhile, the PCB Gallery, named after Inzamam-ul-Haq, will offer tickets at PKR 500, giving fans an opportunity to enjoy the matches from an exclusive section.
This Test series holds great significance for Pakistan as it marks the first time in nearly two decades that the West Indies will play Test cricket on Pakistani soil. Their last Test series in Pakistan took place in 2006. Since then, the West Indies have visited Pakistan three times for limited-overs matches, but this will be the first longer-format series in years.
Pakistan and the West Indies share a competitive cricketing history, having faced each other in 54 Test matches. Pakistan has the upper hand with 21 wins, while the West Indies have secured 18 victories. Fifteen matches have ended in draws. The last Test series between the two teams was held in the Caribbean in 2021, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
The West Indies squad for the upcoming series includes Kraigg Brathwaite (captain), Alick Athanaze, Keacy Carty, Joshua Da Silva, Justin Greaves, Kavem Hodge, Tevin Imlach, Amir Jangoo, Mikyle Louis, Gudakesh Motie, Anderson Phillip, Kemar Roach, Jayden Seales, Kevin Sinclair, and Jomel Warrican.
The two-match Test series schedule is as follows:
First Test: January 17-21 at Multan Cricket Stadium
Second Test: January 25-29 at Multan Cricket Stadium
Fans eagerly await this historic series, which promises to bring thrilling cricket action and strengthen the bond between the two teams.
