CNG stations in Peshawar will remain closed until January 19 because of the ongoing low gas pressure crisis. This decision has been made by Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) to prioritize providing natural gas to households during the extremely cold winter weather.
In the winter season, the demand for gas increases significantly as people rely on it for heating their homes and cooking. To ensure that families have enough gas for these essential needs, authorities have temporarily stopped the supply of gas to CNG stations.
The move is aimed at easing the pressure on the gas supply system and helping residents who are struggling to stay warm during the harsh winter months. Authorities believe this step will help improve the situation for domestic consumers and ensure they have the gas they need.
While this closure might cause inconvenience for CNG users, officials are hopeful it will bring much-needed relief to households facing gas shortages during the severe cold weather.
