The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has warned citizens about a fake notification circulating on social media concerning calls from 051-7080507.
The fabricated alert, which carries the PTA logo, claims that answering calls from the number could put funds in Easypaisa and other mobile wallets at risk.
PTA has clarified that it did not issue the notification and urged the public not to believe or share unverified information.
Citizens have been advised to verify such claims through PTA’s official communication channels and avoid spreading misleading alerts that may cause unnecessary concern.
