Maryam Nawaz Announces Plan to Construct 20,000 Homes in Punjab Next Month

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is leading a project to build 20,000 homes in Punjab by February 2025. A special meeting was held to review the progress of this housing initiative, which also aims to provide free plots to citizens who have been displaced.

To support the project, the government has allocated Rs. 8 billion in loans to construct 9,000 houses. The housing program has seen a tremendous response, with over 400,000 people applying. Out of these, 74,000 drafts have already been submitted.

In order to ensure the fair and efficient distribution of free plots, an 8-member committee has been set up to oversee the process.

The public’s interest in the program is clearly evident, as there has been a significant increase in visits to the housing portal, which is used to apply for the program.

This initiative aims to provide affordable housing to many families in Punjab, addressing the housing shortage and offering support to those in need. With strong government backing and active public participation, the housing project is moving forward with great potential for success.
