to the report presented to PM khan by the petroleum department, two new gas terminals are to be constructed to enhance the delivery of liquefied natural gas (LNG).
As per the instructions released by Prime Minister, this gas pipeline will be constructed soon, and this scheme will also involve local company and businesses in the construction work.
Special Assistant to PM, Tabish Gohar submitted the report and said that the pipeline was important to the smooth out & uninterrupted supply of gas to users at affordable prices.
The new LNG terminal operators will sign agreements on a take-or-pay basis regarding the allocation of pipeline capacity following the model of existing LNG terminals.
In accordance with the model of the current LNG stations, new LNG terminal workers will sign up contracts on a take-or-pay basis regarding the distribution of pipeline capability.
Additionally, the report added, LPG is to be used as an additional fuel to decrease the load on natural gas, A decision was made that the LNG storage capacity infrastructure would be constructed by 2030.
The SAPM said that under the Govt strategy to reform the gas sector, additional capacity 300 million Cubic Feet per Day (MMCFD) gas of the 2 current Re-gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) terminals & additional LNG cargoes would be made in use to decrease the demand & supply gap, especially in the next winters.
