The PCB Foundation renews its charitable collaboration with the Shahid Afridi Foundation

On Monday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) extended its Corporate Social Responsibility partnership with the Shahid Afridi Foundation (SAF) for another two years. SAF will remain the PCB’s charity partner for the next two years. In 2019, the PCB and the SAF inked a two-year memorandum of understanding. The collaboration with SAF will cover non-ICC events, which means the SAF emblem will be prominently displayed on the Pakistan national men’s cricket team’s playing shirts, as it has in the past. Other CSR projects of the PCB include mental health awareness cooperation with the British Asian Trust and a polio eradication partnership with the Pakistan Polio Eradication Program.

The SAF was created in 2014 with the goal of improving the living conditions of the impoverished and disadvantaged. SAF is promoting global peace and goodwill through sports diplomacy in the fields of health, education, and clean water. In the coming years, SAF wants to see Pakistani people wealthy, educated, and healthy.

“We are thrilled to renew our partnership with the Shahid Afridi Foundation for another two years,” said PCB Commercial Director Babar Hamid. SAF has established its worth as one of the country’s major charity organisations, doing outstanding work for the impoverished and needy all around the country.

We wish the SAF every success and hope that they continue to be a brilliant light and a beacon of hope for millions of Pakistanis.” “I am happy that my association with Pakistan Cricket has evolved beyond my playing career for Pakistan, and that the Pakistan Cricket Board will continue to assist the Shahid Afridi Foundation from 2021 to 2023,” stated Shahid Afridi, Global Chairman, Shahid Afridi Foundation. The Foundation’s work focuses on improving the lives of our fellow Pakistanis, and I’m looking forward to seeing our national celebrities continue to raise awareness about our efforts.”
