The School Education Department has announced revised school timings for Ramazan 2025 in Karachi. The new schedule is designed to accommodate students and teachers who will be fasting during the holy month. These changes apply to all primary, secondary, higher secondary, and elementary schools, including those operating in single and double shifts.
For schools with a single shift, classes will start at 8:00 am and end at 1:30 pm from Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, schools will close earlier at 11:30 am.
Schools running on a double-shift system will follow different schedules. The first shift will begin at 7:30 am and end at 11:30 am, while the second shift will start at 11:45 am and conclude at 2:45 pm. However, on Fridays, the second shift will end at 1:30 pm for primary schools and 1:15 pm for secondary schools.

New Exam Schedule for Matric and Inter Students
The Sindh government has also adjusted the examination schedule for students appearing in Matric and Intermediate exams. The Matric exams will now start on April 7, while Intermediate exams will begin on April 28. These exams were originally planned for March 15 and April 15, respectively.
Additionally, practical exams for Matric students will start on March 10. However, the schedule for Intermediate practical exams will be announced later.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that the holy month of Ramazan will begin on Monday, March 2.
