Ramdan Moon Not Sighted Today, Pakistan to Observe 1st Ramadan on 2nd March

The moon for Ramadan 1446 Hijri was not seen in Pakistan, which means that the first fast (roza) will be on Sunday, March 2.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee made this announcement after holding a meeting in Peshawar. During the meeting, no reports of moon sightings were received from major cities, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and Quetta. Since the moon was not visible anywhere in the country, Ramadan will begin a day later.

Experts from SUPARCO, Pakistan’s space and upper atmosphere research organization, had already predicted this outcome based on their scientific calculations of the moon’s visibility. Their forecasts indicated that the chances of seeing the Ramadan moon on this particular evening were very low.

With this confirmation, people across Pakistan can now prepare to observe the holy month of fasting, prayers, and reflection starting from Sunday.
