Ministry of Climate Change Management Announces Multiple Job Opportunities in Pakistan

The Ministry of Climate Change & Environmental Coordination, Islamabad, has announced an opportunity for Pakistani citizens to apply for the Chairperson position at the Pakistan Climate Change Authority (PCCA). This corporate body operates under the ministry’s administrative control and focuses on climate change policies and environmental sustainability.

Position Details

The ministry is looking for a qualified and experienced individual to lead the Pakistan Climate Change Authority as its Chairperson. The selected candidate will play a key role in formulating policies and strategies to tackle climate change in Pakistan.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Position: Chairperson
  • Scale: SPPS-1
  • Number of Posts: 01
  • Experience: At least 15 years in climate change, environment, or related fields, with a distinguished service record
  • Educational Qualification: Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Climate Change, Environment, Finance, Management Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Law/Policy, or any other relevant field
  • Age Limit: Maximum 62 years

Disqualification Criteria

A person will not be eligible for appointment if they:

  • Have been dismissed, removed, or compulsorily retired due to disciplinary action
  • Have been convicted of an offense involving moral turpitude or corruption
  • Have benefited from the National Reconciliation Ordinance, 2007

Application Process

  • Applications must be submitted through the National Job Portal within 15 days of the advertisement’s publication.
  • Civil servants/government employees can apply through the proper channel and will be considered under the Special Professional Pay Scale (SPPS) Policy.
  • Selected candidates must submit an affidavit confirming no conflict of interest.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.
