Peshawar Zalmi Make History with Record 120-Run Win Over Multan Sultans in PSL

Peshawar Zalmi made a strong comeback in PSL 2025 with a historic win against Multan Sultans at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. They defeated the Sultans by a huge margin of 120 runs – the biggest victory in the tournament so far.

Zalmi’s innings didn’t start well, as they lost early wickets. But the middle order turned things around. Tom Kohler-Cadmore scored a solid 52 runs, while Mohammad Haris added 45. Abdul Samad stole the show with a powerful knock of 40 runs from just 14 balls, hitting big shots all over the ground. Thanks to their efforts, Zalmi posted a massive total of 227 for 7 in 20 overs.

In reply, Multan Sultans struggled from the very beginning. Their batting line-up collapsed under pressure and they were all out for just 107 runs. Zalmi’s bowlers were in top form. Ali Raza took 4 wickets for 21 runs, and Ariq Yaqoob grabbed 3 wickets for 20 runs. The bowlers kept things tight and never gave the Sultans a chance to settle.

Abdul Samad was named Player of the Match for his quick and game-changing innings. His performance gave Zalmi the energy boost they needed for their first win of the season.

This victory moved Peshawar Zalmi up to fifth place on the points table. On the other hand, Multan Sultans are still looking for their first win and remain at the bottom.

This match was a big moment for Zalmi and showed how quickly things can change in T20 cricket. With strong batting and bowling, they proved they are still a team to watch this season. Fans will now expect more winning performances as the tournament continues.
