Snapchat Down! User Report Messaging and Posting Issues Across Pakistan

A large number of Snapchat users across Pakistan have reported problems with the app, especially in the provinces of Punjab and Sindh. Cities such as Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi have seen the highest number of complaints about the service not working properly.

According to Downdetector, a website that tracks app outages and internet problems, reports of issues with Snapchat peaked over the past 24 hours. This suggests that the problem is widespread and not just affecting a few users here and there.

Most users (about 56%) said they were having trouble using the Snapchat app itself. Others reported specific problems with sharing content (26%) and uploading photos or videos (18%). Downdetector also shared a heat map that showed the disruptions happening in many different areas, which means it is likely a major technical problem rather than a few small, local issues.

So far, Snapchat has not given any official explanation for what caused the outage. However, technology experts believe that the problems might be related to server issues or bugs that came with a recent update to the app.

Interestingly, many people said that when they used a Virtual Private Network (VPN), Snapchat started working normally again. This suggests that the trouble might be related to regional network restrictions or specific connectivity problems affecting users inside Pakistan.

As of now, users are still waiting for an official statement from Snapchat to confirm the cause of the issue and whether it will be fixed soon. In the meantime, many are continuing to use VPNs as a temporary solution to access the app without problems.
