No More Traffic Congestion? Lahore to Get Parking Plazas at 13 Different Locations

To solve Lahore’s increasing parking problem, the Punjab government has decided to build 13 new parking plazas across the city. This big step was taken after a meeting led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, where officials discussed ways to reduce traffic and parking issues in the most crowded parts of Lahore.

The main goal of this plan is to reduce traffic jams caused by random and illegal parking on busy roads. These new parking plazas will offer proper, organized parking spaces, making it easier for people to park their vehicles without blocking traffic.

Work on planning and design for the plazas has already started. The government will carefully review all proposed locations again to make sure they are placed in areas where they are needed the most. This re-evaluation will help make the project more effective and ensure that the plazas actually solve the parking problems rather than create new ones.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has instructed all departments to move quickly and complete the work without delays. She emphasized the need for long-term planning so that future traffic issues can also be avoided.

Once completed, these parking plazas are expected to not only ease the current traffic pressure but also improve the overall flow of vehicles in the city. It will also help businesses and shoppers in busy markets who often struggle to find parking space.

This initiative reflects the government’s focus on making Lahore a more organized and commuter-friendly city. By creating proper infrastructure, the Punjab government hopes to improve everyday life for the city’s growing population.
