Sheikh Saleh bin Humaid has been chosen to deliver the important Arafah sermon for Hajj 2025, according to the Presidency of Religious Affairs. This sermon will be delivered at Masjid Al-Nimra on Mount Arafat on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah — the most spiritual day of the Hajj pilgrimage.
The Day of Arafah is the heart of Hajj. On this day, millions of pilgrims gather at Mount Arafat to pray, seek forgiveness, and reflect. At the same time, Muslims around the world fast and spend the day in worship, making it one of the most meaningful days in the Islamic calendar.
The Arafah sermon is a powerful moment during Hajj, where guidance is shared with all Muslims. Sheikh Saleh bin Humaid, known for his deep knowledge and respected voice, will lead this year’s sermon.
Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, Head of the Presidency of Religious Affairs, expressed his thanks to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for approving this appointment. He said this decision reflects Saudi Arabia’s strong leadership in Islamic matters and its ongoing commitment to serving pilgrims and protecting the sanctity of the Two Holy Mosques.
This appointment also highlights the country’s efforts to ensure the Hajj experience remains spiritual, well-organized, and meaningful for Muslims across the world.
The Arafah sermon is expected to be translated into multiple languages and broadcast globally to reach all corners of the Muslim world.
