Mobile users in Pakistan are in for a treat on June 20, 2025, as a special offer will allow them to enjoy 2GB of free internet data along with 200 on-net minutes. The offer is valid for 24 hours and can be activated by dialing *2200# from any network. This limited-time initiative is available to all users across major mobile operators, including Jazz, Zong, Ufone, and Telenor.
But that’s not all. In a separate effort to support digital access for women, 200 locally assembled smartphones will be given away to female SIM card holders through a computerized draw.
The giveaway will cover regions across Pakistan, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Names of the selected winners will be published on the official social media platforms of the PTA.
In addition to free data and smartphone distribution, students at selected universities will also benefit from improved internet access.
PTA will deploy free Wi-Fi hotspots for six months at several HEC-recognized institutions, with a special focus on women’s universities. The list of universities chosen for this initiative will also be made available through PTA’s social media pages.
This digital inclusion campaign is supported by several partners, including PTCL, Cybernet, Transworld, Nayatel, Wateen and Pakistan’s mobile manufacturing industry. The goal is to boost nationwide connectivity and ensure equal digital opportunities, especially for students and women.
For millions of users across the country, June 20 promises not just free internet but real steps toward a more connected future.
