China Introduces Tea-Making Robot in China-South Asia Expo

At the 9th China-South Asia Expo held in Kunming, a tea-making robot drew crowds by performing traditional Chinese tea rituals with smooth, graceful movements. The robot combined cultural tradition with modern technology, offering visitors a unique experience that showed how innovation can preserve and celebrate heritage.

This year’s expo saw participation from over 2,500 companies, making it one of the largest platforms for trade and cultural exchange between China and South Asian nations. The event focused on progress in areas like green energy, eco-friendly products, LED lighting, and traditional medicine. Many booths featured technologies aimed at improving sustainability and environmental health.

South Asian countries presented their rich cultures through local products and crafts. Afghanistan displayed its famous handmade carpets, while Sri Lanka showcased coconut-based goods such as oils, skincare items, and household products. These stalls gave visitors a closer look at the region’s craftsmanship and economic opportunities.

One of the key moments of the expo was a major floral trade deal signed by a Dubai-based company. The agreement is expected to boost flower exports from South Asia, connecting regional producers to global markets.

The expo successfully combined business, technology, and culture, allowing companies to explore new partnerships while also promoting regional understanding. With highlights ranging from robotic tea ceremonies to traditional handmade goods, the event celebrated both the future and the past.

As innovation continues to grow across Asia, such events help build strong ties between countries and open doors for collaboration in trade, environment, and cultural exchange.
