Flyadeal, the low-cost airline based in Jeddah, is preparing to strengthen its presence in Pakistan by adding four new flight routes this August.
The airline will soon start weekly services connecting Riyadh to Islamabad, Peshawar, and Sialkot, as well as Dammam to Karachi, giving Pakistani travellers more choices for affordable air travel.
These flights are scheduled to begin between August 24 and August 26, operating two to three times a week using modern Airbus A320 aircraft.
This move will more than double Flyadeal’s connections in Pakistan, a market where the airline only started operations earlier this year with its first flights to Karachi from Jeddah and Riyadh in February.
This expansion shows how Flyadeal, which launched its international services in 2021, is pushing to become a key player in the region. It already flies to 28 international destinations, including cities in the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, and Central Asia.
According to Flyadeal’s CEO, Steven Greenway, the airline wants international routes to make up half of its network in the coming years. With routes like Riyadh–Sialkot, Flyadeal will fill gaps left by other airlines. For example, Pakistan International Airlines stopped flying this route in 2023, so Flyadeal will be the only carrier offering this service when flights start on August 26.
The timing is right, as demand for flights between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan continues to grow due to religious travel, labor movement, and the large Pakistani community working in the kingdom.
As Flyadeal looks to expand its fleet from 41 to 98 aircraft by 2030, including bigger A321neo and A330neo jets, passengers can expect even more travel options in the future.
