Pakistan’s IT Exports Reach Record High $4.6 Billion in 11 Months

Pakistan’s IT, ITeS, and freelance exports have reached a record level of $4.6 billion for the financial year 2024–25. This is a huge 26.4% increase compared to last year, showing that Pakistan’s tech industry is growing fast and making its mark in global markets.

The Ministry of IT and Telecom says this big jump is thanks to the strong leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the government’s focus on making new reforms in the tech sector.

They said that teamwork between different government departments helped make good policies that support the IT industry, freelancers, and startups.

Some of the main reasons for this growth are better connections with international clients, more investment in modern tech infrastructure, and training local talent to meet global standards.

The government’s push to improve high-speed internet and promote a digital economy also made a big difference. Cashless transactions and online payments have become easier, helping freelancers and companies do business with clients worldwide.

These record export numbers show that Pakistan’s tech industry is becoming stronger and more competitive globally. More Pakistani freelancers, startups, and IT companies are now working with big clients around the world and earning good money for their skills and services.

Many experts believe that if this growth continues, Pakistan could soon become one of the top countries for tech services and freelancing. The government plans to keep supporting the sector so that more young people can find good jobs and help grow the country’s digital economy even further.
