UK Opens ‘Fully-Funded’ Scholarships for Pakistanis

Pakistani professionals aiming to study in the United Kingdom now have the chance to apply for the prestigious Chevening Scholarships, a programme that offers a fully funded one-year master’s degree at leading British universities.

Applications for the 2025–26 academic year opened on 5 August and will remain open until 7 October 2025. The scholarships target mid-career professionals with at least two years of work experience after graduation.

The award covers all major costs, including university tuition, airfare to and from the UK, visa fees, housing, and a monthly stipend to help with living expenses.

Speaking about the opportunity, British High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott said the scholarships are designed to nurture Pakistan’s emerging leaders and changemakers. She noted that Chevening is more than just an academic experience, it helps recipients build global networks, develop leadership skills, and gain fresh perspectives to take back to their communities.

Applicants will be expected to show a record of leadership and influence, along with examples of how they have created impact in their professional or community roles.

Since its launch in 1983, the Chevening programme has supported over 60,000 scholars worldwide, including more than 2,000 Pakistanis. Many alumni have gone on to hold senior roles in government, business, and non-profit organisations.

The initiative is funded by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and partner organisations, reflecting the UK’s commitment to strengthening educational and cultural ties with Pakistan.

Further details and the online application form are available through the official Chevening website.
