Another Massive Increase in Fuel Prices! Petrol Rises by Rs. 6.88, Reaching Rs. 391.22

Pakistan’s federal government has announced another increase in petroleum prices, raising the cost of petrol by Rs. 6.88 per litre to Rs. 391.22.

High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has also seen an increase of Rs. 5.62 per litre, bringing its new price to Rs. 421.45.According to the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the latest adjustment is largely linked to movements in international fuel prices, including changes in Platts rates and petroleum premiums.

The revision comes as global crude oil markets continue to experience volatility. The increase is expected to affect motorists, transport operators, businesses, and other consumers who rely heavily on petroleum products. Higher fuel costs can also influence transportation and operating expenses across various sectors.

The revised rates will remain applicable until Thursday, September 17, 2026, unless another adjustment is announced. Consumers and businesses are now facing higher fuel costs amid continued uncertainty in international energy markets.
