Over 114,500 Applications Filed for Govt Hajj Scheme 2026

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony shared on Monday that over 114,500 applications have been received so far under the Government Hajj Scheme 2026. Only 3,500 seats remain available, and the quota is expected to be filled very soon.

According to ministry spokesperson Muhammad Umar Butt, designated banks will keep accepting applications until the quota is completed. He advised people who wish to apply to submit their forms at the nearest nominated bank branches without wasting time.

He also made it clear that once the remaining seats are filled, the process will be closed immediately, and no further applications will be accepted.

Officials explained that the high number of applications reflects the strong desire of Pakistanis to perform Hajj next year. Many people have shown keen interest, making this year’s response one of the highest on record.

The Government Hajj Scheme 2026 is offering two types of packages. The long package is for 38 to 42 days, while the short package covers 20 to 25 days. The cost for these packages ranges from Rs. 1.15 million to Rs. 1.25 million.

Applicants are required to pay an initial deposit between Rs500,000 and Rs550,000 at the time of applying. The remaining amount will be collected starting from November 1.

With such a limited number of seats left, officials are urging people to act quickly if they plan to apply. The ministry has assured that the process is being handled smoothly through the nominated banks, ensuring that applicants face no difficulties in submitting their forms.
