Field Marshal Asim Munir Pays Tribute to Martyrs on Defence Day

Pakistan observed the 60th Defence and Martyrs Day on September 6, a day dedicated to remembering and honoring the heroes who gave their lives to protect the country.

On this important occasion, Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, along with other military leaders, paid heartfelt tributes to the brave soldiers who stood firm during the 1965 war and to all those who have since sacrificed their lives for the safety and peace of the nation.

The ceremony highlighted the courage and dedication of Pakistan’s armed forces. Leaders expressed deep gratitude for the sacrifices made, reminding the people that every soldier who laid down their life did so with the belief of protecting the country’s future.

They also reaffirmed the military’s strong determination to safeguard Pakistan against any threat and to stand by its people in times of hardship.

Special mention was given to the role of the army during recent challenges, including natural disasters like floods, where soldiers worked day and night to rescue and support citizens.

This showed that the armed forces are not only defenders of the borders but also partners of the people in times of need.

Defence and Martyrs Day is more than just a memorial. It is a powerful symbol of unity, courage, and resilience.

It reminds every Pakistani of their responsibility to contribute towards building a stronger, more peaceful, and prosperous nation. By remembering the sacrifices of the past, the country renews its commitment to a brighter and more secure future.
