Taurees Habib, a talented sound engineer originally from Karachi, has made history by becoming the first Pakistani to win a Grammy Award in the field of sound engineering. This remarkable achievement also makes him only the second Pakistani ever to win a Grammy, following singer Arooj Aftab, who received the honor earlier.

Habib earned the award in the category of Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media for his outstanding work on the music of Dune: Part Two. The film’s soundtrack was composed by legendary musician Hans Zimmer, and Habib’s contribution as a sound engineer played a vital role in shaping the final masterpiece that impressed critics and audiences around the world.

Although the Grammy win took place in February 2024, Habib shared the news with the public only recently through a post on social media.
