Major Drop in Gold Prices in Pakistan Today

Gold prices in Pakistan registered a notable decline on Thursday, tracking the downward trend in the international market.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola fell by Rs. 2,000, bringing it down to Rs. 396,800 in the local market. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold recorded a decrease of Rs. 1,714, settling at Rs. 340,192.

The association highlighted that Wednesday’s session had closed without any change, with the price of gold per tola standing at Rs. 398,800. However, renewed pressure from global markets on Thursday reversed that stability, pushing domestic prices lower.

Internationally, gold also witnessed a decline as prices slipped to $3,750 per ounce, including a $20 premium. This marked a fall of $20 compared to the previous day’s rate, further contributing to the downward adjustment in Pakistan’s bullion market.

While gold continued its losing streak, silver showed resilience and posted gains. In the local market, the price of silver per tola rose by Rs. 26, reaching Rs. 4,663.

Market observers noted that fluctuations in international demand and investor sentiment continue to play a decisive role in shaping bullion prices in Pakistan. The combination of global economic indicators and local market dynamics has kept both traders and investors closely monitoring the precious metals market.
