Pakistan Launches First High-Tech Air Quality Forecast System

Punjab has introduced Pakistan’s first high-tech air quality forecast system on the directions of CM Maryam Nawaz.

Developed with modern scientific models inspired by “Windy” and “Euro,” the system combines real-time monitoring and predictive tools to track air pollution and weather patterns across Punjab.

Data from 41 air quality monitoring stations—set to expand to 100 will guide health advisories, policies, and smog-control efforts.

Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb highlighted measures like controlling vehicle and industrial emissions, curbing crop residue bu_rning, and urging citizens to take precautions, especially vulnerable groups during smog season.
