Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Shahid Afzal has been named additional director general of the Pakistan Airports Authority, succeeding Air Vice Marshal Zeeshan Saeed. The federal government approved his appointment on secondment.
Appointment notified after prime minister’s approval
The Establishment Division issued the appointment notification after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif approved the decision. The authority’s leadership change was among several personnel decisions covering an appointment, a tenure extension and a transfer.
Two-year extension and Cabinet Division transfer
The other decisions concern officers serving at the Punjab Revenue Authority and the Central Directorate of National Savings. The Establishment Division has also issued notifications for these changes.
- Saima Munawar, additional commissioner at the Punjab Revenue Authority, has been granted a two-year tenure extension, effective October 17.
- Sana Arif, a National Savings Officer at the Central Directorate of National Savings, has been transferred, with her services made available to the Cabinet Division on deputation.
