Pakistani Islamic scholar Sheikh Bashir Ahmad Siddiq, known for his lifelong service to Quranic education, has passed away in Madinah. He devoted more than six decades of his life to teaching the Holy Quran at Masjid Nabawi, one of the holiest places for Muslims.
His passing was confirmed by Jamia Ashrafia Lahore. A large number of people attended his funeral, which was held inside Masjid Nabawi, the very mosque where he spent his life guiding and teaching students from around the world.
After the funeral prayer, he was laid to rest in Jannat al-Baqi, the sacred cemetery of Madinah where many companions of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) are also buried.
Sheikh Siddiq’s contribution to Islamic education is immense. For more than 60 years, he patiently and passionately taught the Quran to thousands of students, many of whom came from different parts of the world.
His students went on to spread the message of the Quran in their own communities, creating a legacy that continues to grow.
He was not only respected as a teacher but also admired for his humility, devotion, and service to the Muslim community. His life was dedicated to spreading knowledge, guiding the youth, and strengthening the bond of Muslims with the Holy Quran.
Sheikh Bashir Ahmad Siddiq leaves behind a global legacy of love for the Quran, respected scholarship, and a shining example of lifelong dedication to faith. His teachings will continue to inspire generations of students and scholars across the world.
