South Africa 216-6 at End of Day 2 in First Test Match Against Pakistan

Pakistan’s spinners took control on Day 2 of the first Test against South Africa at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, keeping the visitors under pressure throughout the day.

Left-arm spinner Noman Ali was the star performer, claiming four crucial wickets to restrict South Africa to 216-6 by stumps, after Pakistan earlier finished their first innings at 378 all out. His disciplined spell exposed South Africa’s middle order and helped Pakistan maintain a strong upper hand in the match.

For South Africa, Tony de Zorzi showed remarkable resistance, remaining unbeaten on 81 runs, but his side still trails by 162 runs heading into Day 3.

Earlier in the morning session, South African spinner Senuran Muthusamy delivered a stunning performance, taking a career-best 6-117, which wrapped up Pakistan’s innings quickly after a solid start.

With the pitch showing signs of spin and variable bounce, Day 3 promises to be decisive as Pakistan looks to tighten its grip, while South Africa aims for a comeback through its lower order and bowlers.
