There’s some positive news for those preparing to perform Hajj in 2026. The Federal Ministry for Religious Affairs has announced an extension in the booking deadline for the private Hajj scheme, giving more time and convenience to intending pilgrims. The deadline which was earlier set for October 17, has now been extended to October 22, 2025.
This extension comes as part of the Ministry’s efforts to ensure that no eligible applicant misses the chance to book their spot.
A total of 60,000 seats have been allocated under the private Hajj scheme for 2026. So far, over 55,000 people have confirmed their bookings while a few thousand seats remain available for those still in the process.
Officials have also reminded pilgrims to only register through verified Hajj operators listed on the Ministry’s official website. To ensure transparency and avoid fraud, all payments must be made through banking channels, and pilgrims should collect official receipts and copies of their agreements.
The Ministry has introduced easy online options this year. Pilgrims can now check their booking status, data accuracy and payment updates directly through the Ministry’s website or the Pak Hajj mobile app making the process simpler and more accessible than before.
This year’s Hajj arrangements under both government and private schemes have seen an overwhelming response. With thousands of applications already submitted, the authorities are focusing on making the 2026 pilgrimage more organized, transparent, and comfortable for all.
The extended deadline gives a final opportunity for those who haven’t yet applied, a welcome relief for many eager to embark on this sacred journey next year.
