The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has dispatched a high-level contingent to Azerbaijan to participate in the multinational air exercise “Indus Shield Alpha.”
The delegation includes the country’s pride, the state-of-the-art JF-17 Thunder Block III fighter jets, representing Pakistan’s cutting-edge aviation technology and growing defense cooperation in the region.
The aircraft completed a non-stop flight from Pakistan to Azerbaijan, successfully executing in-flight refueling operations en route. This milestone demonstrates PAF’s expanding operational reach, aerial endurance, and precision in long-range missions.
The exercise aims to strengthen tactical coordination, joint combat readiness, and air defense collaboration among participating nations.
According to PAF officials, “Indus Shield Alpha” provides a valuable opportunity for pilots and crew to engage in real-time simulated combat scenarios, enhancing interoperability and the exchange of advanced aerial warfare techniques.
The inclusion of the JF-17 Thunder Block III, equipped with next-generation avionics, radar systems, and weaponry, reflects Pakistan’s progress in indigenous aircraft development and its growing influence in international defense collaborations.
This exercise also signifies the deepening military partnership between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, both of which share strong strategic, cultural, and defense ties.
By taking part in such global air exercises, Pakistan continues to showcase its professional excellence, technical expertise, and commitment to promoting regional peace through strength and cooperation.
