Pakistan’s young squash player Ashab Irfan has achieved a major milestone in his career by winning his first-ever PSA World Tour title at the Richardson Wealth Men’s Vancouver Open 2025.
The 21-year-old, who entered the tournament as the fourth seed, showed outstanding skill and confidence throughout the match. He defeated England’s Sam Todd in straight sets, winning 3-0 with scores of 11-9, 11-1, and 11-5. The entire match lasted just 43 minutes, reflecting Ashab’s dominance on the court.
The tournament was part of the PSA World Tour Copper category, with a total prize pool of $31,250. Winning this title marks a big step forward in Ashab’s professional journey and highlights his potential as one of Pakistan’s most promising young squash talents.
Another Pakistani player, Noor Zaman, also took part in the event but was eliminated in the quarterfinals.
