These Key Roads to Remain Closed During Pakistan International Maritime Expo 2025 in Karachi

Karachi’s traffic authorities have announced a detailed traffic management plan for the upcoming Pakistan International Maritime Expo & Conference (PIMEC 2025), which will be held from November 3 to 6 at the Expo Centre. The plan includes road closures, diversions, and alternate routes to help maintain smooth traffic flow during the four-day international event.

The Karachi Traffic Police have confirmed that several key routes around the Expo Centre, National Bank Stadium, and adjoining areas will remain restricted for heavy and commercial vehicles. Major affected areas include Karsaz, Nipa Chowrangi, Millennium Mall, Liaquatabad and New Town.

Officials said that heavy traffic coming from Shahrae Faisal and Nursery will not be allowed to access the Stadium Road via Habib Ibrahim Rehmatullah Road or Sir Shah Suleman Road. Drivers from Karsaz and Drigh Road are advised to use Rashid Minhas Road and proceed through Millennium Mall and Nipa instead.

Similarly, heavy vehicles traveling from Rashid Minhas Road towards Dalmia and the stadium will face diversions while routes from Nipa to Hassan Square and New Town towards University Road will remain closed for large vehicles.

The authorities have also advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel around Expo Centre during rush hours particularly between 8 AM to 10 AM and 3 PM to 5 PM as temporary diversions will be enforced.

Residents have been urged not to park vehicles on main roads and to follow the directions of traffic officers on duty. For real-time updates, commuters can contact the traffic helpline at 1915 or tune in to FM 88.6.

Officials emphasized that public cooperation will be vital to ensuring smooth traffic movement and security throughout PIMEC 2025.
