Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif received Bahrain’s highest state award, the Order of Bahrain (First Class), during his official visit.
The award was presented by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and is known as the top honour Bahrain gives to international leaders. This recognition reflects the strong respect and friendship between the two countries.
During their meeting, both leaders talked about the long-standing relationship between Pakistan and Bahrain. They appreciated how both nations have supported each other over the years and how their cooperation continues in many areas.
Prime Minister Shehbaz thanked King Hamad and the Bahraini government for the warm hospitality and respect. He also acknowledged Bahrain’s efforts to promote peace, tolerance, and coexistence, values that both nations share.
King Hamad spoke about a unique historical connection between the two countries. He mentioned that official records show Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, once served as Bahrain’s legal representative before Pakistan’s independence.
The king said this is a part of history that Bahrain feels proud of, and it further strengthens the bond between the two nations.
The meeting ended on a positive note, with both leaders expressing hope for even stronger ties in the future. They agreed to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, development, and people-to-people relations.
The honour given to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is seen as a symbol of trust, respect, and friendship between Pakistan and Bahrain. It also highlights Bahrain’s willingness to work more closely with Pakistan for mutual growth and stability in the region.
