Pakistan has achieved another major milestone in its space journey with the successful launch of its second indigenous Electro-Optical satellite, EO-2, from the Yangjiang Seashore Launch Centre (YSLC) in China.
EO-2 isn’t just another satellite. It was conceived, designed, and built at Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO). Now it’s orbiting Earth alongside EO-1, watching crops, disasters, and cities in vivid detail—day or night.
Strengthened Earth observation fleet will significantly enhance Pakistan’s capacity in urban planning, disaster management, environmental monitoring, agricultural assessment, water resource management, and infrastructure development.
