Fuel prices in Pakistan have been increased once again, adding further pressure on consumers already facing rising living costs. Effective February 16, 2026, the price of petrol has gone up by Rs. 5.00, bringing the new rate to Rs. 258.17 per litre. Meanwhile, high-speed diesel has seen a sharper increase of Rs. 7.32, pushing its new price to Rs. 275.70 per litre. The revised rates are expected to impact daily commuters as well as transport and logistics sectors across the country.
The increase in diesel prices is likely to have a wider economic effect, as it plays a key role in goods transportation and agricultural activities. Higher fuel costs may lead to a rise in the prices of essential commodities in the coming days. Consumers are being advised to stay informed about the latest updates and plan their fuel usage accordingly to manage expenses more effectively.
