Punjab to Build 1,000-Bed Children’s Hospital

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced the construction of a 1,000-bed children’s hospital at Nawaz Sharif Medical Hospital. She shared this plan while speaking at the CM Children Heart Surgery Program.

According to her, construction work will begin in March. The new hospital aims to improve medical facilities for children and provide advanced treatment under one roof.

During her speech, Maryam Nawaz said that public money will be protected and used honestly. She stressed that there will be no tolerance for corruption and that every rupee will be spent carefully for the welfare of the people. She also reaffirmed her commitment to strengthening pediatric healthcare services across Punjab.

In addition to the new hospital project, she announced several other health initiatives. The government will provide free medicines worth Rs. 100 billion to patients. Free stroke injections will also be available to ensure timely treatment for critical cases.

Furthermore, Rs3 billion has been allocated for cancer treatment to support patients who cannot afford expensive care.

The CM Children Heart Surgery Program and these new healthcare measures have been described as a major step toward improving public health services. Many supporters are calling it a healthcare revolution in Punjab.

The initiatives aim to make quality treatment more accessible, reduce the financial burden on families, and create a stronger healthcare system for the future.
