China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi has conveyed Beijing’s firm support for Iran’s right to safeguard its sovereignty and national interests during a period of escalating tensions in the Middle East. In discussions with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Wang emphasized that China respects Iran’s independence and supports its efforts to defend its territorial integrity and national security in accordance with international law.
According to AFP, China also reiterated its longstanding diplomatic and economic ties with Iran, describing the relationship between the two countries as stable and strategic. Beijing expressed its continued commitment to strengthening cooperation with Tehran across various sectors while voicing support for measures aimed at ensuring Iran’s security and preserving regional stability.
