Eid Mubarak! Shawal Moon Sightted, Pakistanis to Celebrate Eid–ul-Fitr Tomorrow

The Shawwal moon has been sighted in Pakistan, and Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated across the country tomorrow. The announcement was made by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee after receiving confirmed reports from different regions. This marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

SUPARCO and the Pakistan Meteorological Department had already predicted low chances of sighting the crescent on March 19.

Eid al-Fitr is one of the most important festivals in Islam. It comes after a month of fasting, prayer, and reflection. Muslims celebrate this day by offering special Eid prayers in mosques and open grounds early in the morning.

Before the Eid prayer, Muslims are required to give charity known as Zakat al-Fitr. This helps people in need so they can also join in the celebrations. Families prepare special meals, wear new clothes, and visit relatives and friends to share happiness.

Markets across major cities have been busy in the last few days, with people shopping for clothes, sweets, and gifts. Children especially look forward to receiving Eidi from their elders, which adds to the joy of the occasion.

As Pakistan prepares to celebrate, the spirit of joy and gratitude can be seen in homes and public spaces across the country.
