Silent Scam? Foodpanda Users Frustrated over Vouchers & Gift Cards Stop Working

Many users of Foodpanda have recently raised concerns about vouchers and gift cards that are not working as expected. Several complaints have surfaced on social media, where customers claim that discounts and balances are either rejected or deducted without successful order completion.

According to multiple users, vouchers shown in the app often display errors like “voucher cannot be used” even when all conditions appear to be met. Some users also reported that these vouchers are marked valid only for “selected customers,” leaving many confused about eligibility. This has created frustration, especially among paid subscribers who expect reliable benefits from their membership.

In more serious cases, customers who used gift cards reported financial losses. Orders placed using gift card balances were reportedly cancelled later, but the deducted amount was not refunded. One such case mentioned a loss of around PKR 2300, raising concerns about transparency and refund policies.

Users believe that such issues reduce trust in the platform. Many feel that promotions are misleading if they cannot be used properly. Some have even called the situation a “silent scam,” where money is not directly stolen but becomes difficult to recover due to system errors or unclear policies.
