Pilgrims Only! Saudi Arabia Bans Entry to Makkah Without Hajj Permit

Saudi Arabia has announced new entry restrictions for Makkah, starting from April 13, as part of preparations for the upcoming Hajj season. The decision has been taken to ensure better crowd control, safety, and smooth management of pilgrims.

According to the Ministry of Interior, only people with valid Hajj permits, residents of Makkah with an iqama, or individuals holding official work permits will be allowed to enter the holy city. Anyone without these documents will be stopped at checkpoints and not permitted to enter.

The authorities said the new rules are aimed at organizing the large number of visitors expected during the Hajj period. These steps are intended to improve safety and reduce overcrowding in and around Makkah.

In addition, the government has set April 18 as the final date for Umrah pilgrims to leave the country. After this deadline, Umrah permits will also be suspended until May 31, as preparations for Hajj intensify.

Officials have warned that strict action will be taken against anyone who violates these rules. The government has urged all pilgrims and residents to follow the instructions carefully to avoid penalties or restrictions.

These measures are part of Saudi Arabia’s long-standing efforts to manage the annual pilgrimage in a safe and organized way. With millions of Muslims traveling to Makkah each year, authorities continue to introduce updated systems to ensure security and smooth movement of people.
