‘My Representatives will be in Islamabad Monday Evening’, Donald Trump on US-Ir@n Talks

US President Donald Trump said on Saturday that American representatives will arrive in Islamabad on Monday evening for a new round of talks with Iran. The goal is to ease tensions in the region and reach a lasting agreement after recent conflicts.

Trump accused Iran of violating the ceasefire, especially near the Strait of Hormuz. He warned that if negotiations fail, there could be serious consequences. The US wants Iran to give up its nuclear programme and follow clear rules for peace and safe shipping in the Gulf.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian defended his country’s rights. He said Iran has the right to peaceful nuclear energy and will only defend itself if attacked. Pezeshkian stressed that Iran does not want nuclear weapons and seeks peace and stability in the region.

Recent talks in Islamabad did not produce a full deal. Both sides made some progress, but big differences remain on nuclear issues, sanctions, and security in the Strait of Hormuz.

Pakistan is playing an important role as a neutral host for these meetings. Many countries are watching closely because the Strait of Hormuz carries a large part of the world’s oil supply.

Trump has said he might visit Islamabad himself if a final deal is ready to be signed. For now, his team will continue the difficult work of finding common ground with Iran. The coming days in Islamabad could be very important for reducing tensions in the Middle East.
