Pakistan International Airlines has resumed its Hajj flight operations from Faisalabad International Airport after a four-year gap. This marks an important step in improving travel facilities for pilgrims from the region.
The first flight carried around 150 pilgrims to Medina. Officials and family members were present at the airport to see them off and offer prayers for a safe journey. According to authorities, a total of 3,680 pilgrims from Faisalabad will travel under this operation.
These trips will be managed through 23 special flights scheduled before May 19. The flights will take pilgrims to both Medina and Jeddah, the main entry points for Hajj.
Meanwhile, the first group of pilgrims from Karachi has already reached Medina. They were welcomed with traditional hospitality by Saudi officials, and arrangements were made for their accommodation and transport.
The resumption of flights from Faisalabad is expected to make travel easier and reduce the burden on other major airports.
